Seagull Services Celebrates Older Americans Month

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

During Older Americans Month in May, Seagull Services paid tribute to its oldest program participants. The group of participants who range in age from their mid-60s all the way through their 80s were honored by the staff and other residents with special recognition on May 20th. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of music and refreshments to mark the occasion.
Older Americans Month was established in 1963 as a time to acknowledge the contributions of older persons in our country, and every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy, who established it, has issued proclamations asking that the nation pay tribute to older persons in their communities.

At Seagull Services, we recognize the different needs and desires of our senior program participants and honor them with their very own Senior Room and a modified array of activities that enables them to enjoy their golden years.
