Our History
From a tiny training center at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church to a County-wide organization serving two hundred developmentally challenged youth and adults, Seagull Industries has been changing lives and attitudes for more than 30 years.
Timeline
January 9, 1979 - incorporated with initial headquarters at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown West Palm Beach.

1980 |
Agency relocated to the 4811 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. |

1984 |
Agency added a sheltered workshop located at 5604 Georgia Avenue in West Palm Beach. |

1987 |
Agency added its Supported Employment Program (many years later merged with its sheltered workshop into the Seagull Achievement Center of the Palm Beaches). All programs were consolidated at Georgia Avenue. |

1990 |
Seagull headquarters moved to current location, 3879 West Industrial Way, West Palm Beach. |

1995 |
Seagull opened its thrift store in Royal Palm Beach. |
|
1998 |
Seagull is honored by AMVETS at its annual convention in Washington, DC. Seagull is presented with the prestigious "Silver Helmet Award" for its work in the field of rehabilitation. |

2002 |
Seagull opens its first residential program at Seagull Place, 1233 Island Road, on Singer Island. Seagull opened its charter school, Seagull Academy for Independent Living. This school is dedicated to developmentally challenged adolescents and young adults. Seagull's charter school is located at 1801 12th Avenue South, in Lake Worth (Lakeside United Methodist Church |

Seagull moved its thrift store to its current location at 6607 Forest Hill Blvd. in Greenacres. |

2005 |
Seagull opened its second residential program, Seagull Ranch, at 9601 Fox Brown Road, Indiantown, Martin County. |

2010 |
Seagull purchased a new home for Seagull Academy for Independent Living, at 6250 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach. |
