Seagull Industries for the Disabled contracts with the State of Florida to serve mentally retarded and developmentally challenged adults. Unfortunately, these contracts do not produce enough funds to provide services to all those in need. Therefore, we continue to rely heavily on gifts from corporations, foundations, civic organizations and individuals. Some of our most important resources are individuals just like you! They donate money, time and/or expertise in support of our organization and those that we serve. Their contributions are very important to our success.

Seagull uses financial gifts from individuals to create new programs and make improvements to our facilities / equipment. As an example, we are currently raising funds to open a much needed residential program for twenty-four of our clients. Your gift can be restricted to a specific program, specific piece of equipment, etc. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference.

PLANNED GIVING can provide you with a very practical tax benefit while ensuring Seagull's future. Some individuals prefer to donate stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other assets in order to claim a tax deduction and/or avoid paying capital gains tax.
